Decorated with the ' pibiones' technique. Yarns used are made of natural Sardinian wools and naturally dyed wool (blackberry and cistus), the final result is called "sa faona", traditionally used as bed spread. Up to 50 years ago, a must have in every woman wedding trousseau, every family has one passed down from the previous generation.
These decorations made with the finest pibiones technique have almost been abandoned because too labour intensive.
The fabric can be obtained from very experienced weavers, they are difficult to get, normally women in little villages still make these fabrics.
